Collaborative Focus

Develop training solutions and support the manufacturing sector in addressing it's skill gap in the greater Illinois area. Training may focus on various levels of work, including but not limited to:

Computer Numerically Controlled Machine Tool Programmers, Metal & Plastic: Develop programs to control machining or processing of metal or plastic parts by automatic machine tools, equipment, or systems.

Cutting & Slicing Machine Setters, Operators, & Tenders: Set up, operate, or tend machines that cut or slice materials, such as glass, stone, cork, rubber, tobacco, food, paper, or insulating material.

Electrical & Electronic Equipment Assemblers: Assemble or modify electrical or electronic equipment, such as computers, test equipment telemetering systems, electric motors, and batteries.

Fabric Menders: Repair tears, holes, and other defects in fabrics, such as draperies, linens, parachutes, and tents.

Forging Machine Setters, Operators, & Tenders, Metal & Plastic: Set up, operate, or tend forging machines to taper, shape, or form metal or plastic parts.

Industrial Engineers: Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.

Machinists: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
